Hey you. The one looking at the screen! This report is about Smartphones. In this report you will read about the history. For example, The first one was invented in 1992. That is 22 years old. Next, you will read about What it does/How it works, like the first one was able to send and receive e-mails. Finally, you will read about Their interesting facts. I’ll bet you didn’t know 75% of children under 8 have a smartphone.
You’ll be surprised what the first name was. According to, The Information Technology Log, the first smartphone was invented by IBM. It was called Simon. Simon was introduced as a concept product in the COMDEX expo. I thought this was interesting because I didn’t know what the first smartphone was, and now I know that it was Simon.
This is when the first smartphone (Simon) was invented. According to The Information Technology Log, the first smartphone was invented in 1992 by IBM. I thought this was really cool because that was three years before my brother, Joshua, was born. And I also didn’t know when it was invented and now I do.
What did the first one do anyway? wikipedia.org says, the first smartphone had the ability to send and receive cellular phone calls. A side from that, it could also send and receive faxes, e-mails, and cellular pages. It also had apps including calendar, address book, calculator, and more that I won’t name. I thought this was cool because I thought the first one could just make cellular phone calls. It turns out, I was wrong.
Do you know how the touch screen even works? cnbc.com says, the touchscreen has been around since the 1970’s. the question is how does it work. Touchscreens work by using the human finger as an electrical conduit. You phone doesn’t even know it is you finger. All the phone knows is that it carries a current. I thought this was cool. If you want more info, watch the video at the website above.
What is the most popular smartphone? According to brighthand.com, The most popular one is the HTC One S. The reason it is the most popular is because it has a large touchscreen, 4G capability. It was also the first handset from T-Mobile to feature the Android OS 4.0. I thought this was cool because I never knew that.
You have no idea how may kids under 8 have access to smartphones. marketingprofs.com says, that 75% of american children under the age of 8 have access to smartphones. I thought this was interesting because it didn’t know that 78% percent had smartphones.
