This report is all about the amazing, awesome the only thing you want theÉ cell phone! Do you truly know how much cell phones have improved and changed? LetŐs compare.  How much does your cell phone weigh when you grab it?  Is it (not even) 6 oz? Or is it (almost) 5 lbs? Can you text message?  The old ones couldnŐt.  The old phones couldnŐt do any thing close to what cell phones can do now. In my report you will learn what a cell phone is, and does, how it works, and finally itŐs history and future.

What it is and does

What is a cell phone? A portable phone also known as the cellular telephone, cellular phone, mobile phone or most commonly used the cell phone is a wireless portable phone that can be used pretty much anywhere. A cell phone can be very use full you can take it places and you can still use it in your house. ItŐs small enough to fit in a bag, purse or a pocket, which is very convenient for you to take places.

What does a cell phone do? A cell phone can be used many different ways. You can use the Internet on a cell phone you can e-mail people. You can use a cell phone as a calculator and you can use it to text people. A cell phone is very useful, and I think that people will continue to make cell pone better so they are able to do more stuff.

How it works

How does a cell phone work? When you call or text someone it sends signals to a satellite then the satellite sends frequencies to the phone your calling and back to your phone so it can call or text them.

How many frequencies does a cell phone have?

A cell phone has 800 frequencies. Well according to http://electronics.howstuffworks.com/cell-phone1.htm. In a typical analog cell-phone system in the United States, the cell-phone carrier receives about 800 frequencies to use across the city. The carrier chops up the city into cells. Each cell is typically sized at about 10 square miles (26 square kilometers). Cells are normally thought of as hexagons on a big hexagonal grid.

History and future

Who invented the cell phone?  Bell Labs invented the cell phone. According to wikkipedia Today's widespread use of mobile phones was made possible by the introduction of hexagonal cells for mobile phone base stations, invented in 1947 by Bell Labs engineers at AT&T and was further developed by Bell Labs during the 1960s. Check out this site for more information Mobile phone - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

When was the cell phone invented? The cell phone was invented in 1947. This is a really good site and it is one of my favorite sites Mobile phone - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

What has changed about the cell phone? Almost everything has changed about the cell phone anywhere from color, size, shape, and the style. They didnŐt only change the appearance of the cell phone they also changed the technology of the cell phone. They have improved it in so many different ways you donŐt even know. TheyŐve added new stuff of what it can do. It can make to do lists, text, call, and turn into a calculator and so on. So much has changed about the cell phone you canŐt even describe how much has changed. I canŐt even tell you what has changed. I believe that the cell phone will continue to improve.

Did cell phones look like regular phones? Yes cell phones looked a lot like a wireless phone just shorter then they discovered how to make the cell phone smaller but still store all the same technology.

What problem did cell phones solve? The amazing cell phone solved the problem of being able to communicate outside of your house. People needed to be able to communicate so the cell phone was the best thing and was invented in just the right time.

Was the cell phone really popular when it first came out? Yes the cell phone was extremely popular because people needed to communicate outside of their house and they couldnŐt exactly take their house phone with them so they were extremely happy when the cell phone cam out.

Conclusion

Well, now you have explored the wonderful world of the amazingÉ cell phone! You have learned what a cell phone is and does, you have learned how cell phones work, and about their history and future.
