Are you always so scared that while your mom or dad is driving the car that youÕll get into a car crash if the car starts sliding and you can just imagine yourself getting really hurt? Find out why you shouldnÕt be scared of getting into a crash in my report. In this report you will learn about what it is and does, how it works, the history, some other ideas, and an awesome surprise about ABS and a racecar. If you read my report you can find out some awesome things about the ABS system. I hope you have fun reading!
What ABS is and Does
This paragraph is about what the ABS system is. According to Jeff James, ABS stands for Automatic Braking System. (Not Awesome Braking Systems.) The ABS system is a system that people have inside of their cars. It is a system that helps your car stop safer and faster if the car starts to slide on the road. Something that would surprise you is that if a regular Ford truck that had the ABS system was racing a 220 mph racecar and they braked at the same time the Ford truck would be able to stop faster and safer than the 220 mph racecar. (http://minivans.about.com/od/glossary/g/abs.htm)
This paragraph is about what the ABS system does. According to Karim Nice the ABS system makes your car stop safely and fast on icy or snowy roads so that you donÕt get into a car crash while youÕre driving. If you donÕt have the ABS system in your car then you could start to pump the brakes but they would lock up and you could crash into a tree or a fence or anything like that. You should never pump the brakes yourself if you have the ABS system in your car because the system pumps the brakes all by itself. (http://howstuffworks.com/) This paragraph is about who uses the ABS system. Some of the people that use the ABS system are these. Some of these are motorcyclists, policemen, firemen, and some are just people that get a new car that comes with the ABS system. Almost everyone in the U.S.A has the ABS system inside their car.
How the ABS system works.
This paragraph is about how the ABS system works. According to Jeff James, The ABS system works by having the sensors (they come with the system and are connected to the brakes.) tell the ABS system if the car starts to slide. So you donÕt need to pump the brakes yourself because if you pump the brakes yourself while the ABS system is doing it for you then your brakes will lock up. The ABS system and the sensors work together to make your car stop faster and safer if your car slides around. (http://minivans.about.com/od/glossary/g/abs.htm)
This paragraph is about what the ABS system uses. According to Karim Nice, the ABS system comes with sensors that are attached to the brakes on your car. If your car starts to slide and you slam on the brakes the sensors that are attached to the brakes will tell the ABS system that the car is starting to slide. Once the sensors tell the system that the car is sliding the ABS system will slow the car down to a fast and safe stop so the car doesnÕt crash into something. (http://www.howstuffworks.com/) This paragraph is about what other technology the ABS system works with. The ABS system doesnÕt just work with cars, it works with bikes and motorcycles too. Even if you donÕt have it in your car I bet that you have the ABS system in something like a motorcycle or bike. This paragraph is about how ABS works with other technology. The ABS system works with other technology just like how it works with cars. You slam on the brakes and ABS pumps the brakes for you and you donÕt slide on the roads and crash your car. Even if you have a bike or motorcycle I bet it has ABS.
This paragraph is about why ABS works with other technology. ABS works with other technology so that there would be ABS systems in more places and it would be even more useful and so that it would be in more places then just in cars. So now instead of just having ABS inside of your car you can now get it in your motorcycles and bikes.
History of ABS.
This paragraph is about who invented the ABS system. The ABS system was invented by the company be the name of Bosch. This paragraph is about when the ABS system was invented. Bosch invented the ABS system in the 1970Õs as so that cars wouldnÕt get into so many crashes.
This paragraph is about why ABS was invented. ABS systems were invented so that brakes on cars wouldnÕt lock up and have the car slide and crash into something. They also made ABS for motorcycles and bikes.
This paragraph is about the ABS sensors. The ABS sensors come with the system and are connected to the brakes on the car. They make it so that the brakes on your car donÕt lock up and make the car slide and crash.
This paragraph is about what ABS does for your car. If you have the ABS system inside of your car then that makes your car a more stable one. It also makes your car a more advanced vehicle because if you have ABS your car is a better one for driving.
So that is my report about ABS. I hope that you enjoyed reading all about what ABS is, does, how it works, the history of ABS, the racecar secret and all of the other ideas that I had.
