Police robots: a new way to stay safe

By: edgikins the guinea pig

Intro

Do you want to keep your family safe just in case there is a robber or a murder in your house, then keep reading. In my report I will tell you what police robots look like where the police robot was built who invented the first police robot, what another job a police robot will have, how a robot sees, what some will be disguised as, and how many eyes it has. So make way for the police robot.

What does a police robot look like?  Some police robots have claws that look a little bit like lobsters and others donŐt.  Most likely the police robots that patrol the streets in some places will have eight to ten pairs of eyes so that they can see all around them.  Then if you mixed the lobster like claws and to eight to ten pairs of eyes thatŐs what they look like (some of them at least).

History

Where was it built?  The very first robot was built in Russia.

Who invented the first police robot?   Richard Spencer was the man who invented the police robot and he was in china when he thought of it.  Now we are trying to build them and improve them before they actually start using them more out on the streets.

What will be one other job that a police robot will have?   Another job a police robot will have is being on the bomb squad.   Being on the bomb squad means having to disconnect wires on a bomb.  That can be very dangerous, so instead of using real people they can have the people control their very own robot to do the dangerous stuff (sometimes).

How it works

How does a police robot see?  According to northropgrumman a police robot can see by a Color surveillance camera with light, zoom, pan/tilt.  (http:/www.ms.northropgrumman.com/remotec/markva1.htm).

What will some police robots be disguised as?   In Japan right now there are ten police robots disguised as vending machines.  To work the vending machines the kids there have to wear their RFID tags in case of an emergency.   If one of the kids is in trouble there is a button on the RFID tags you press. The button contacts the vending machine robot then the robot sends a signal to the police then the police try to find the person.

How many eyes does a police robot have?  Well the police robot has about eight to ten pairs of eyes so that it can see all around it.  If the police robot didnŐt have all those human like eyes it would probably get ruined by someone who snuck up behind it and messed with something.

Conclusion

So my only question is have you ever wanted to stay safe from robbers and murderers and have the police getting hurt even a little bit?  Then make way for the police robot.
