Do you know everything about cell phone? Are you sure? Do you know what it is, itÕs history, or how it works? So, if you think you know everything about cell phones, read my report.

What it is

This paragraph is about what cell phone is the most popular? According to Cnet, the HTC Touch HD is HTCÕs finest Windows Mobile phone yet. A slim casing houses a large, responsive VGA screen. But itÕs not just about looks because inside this phone attractive phone lies the heart of a beast. GPS, HSDPA, Wi-Fi and 3.5 mm headphones jack make for a very smart phone – itÕs a shame it doesnÕt run Android L. I wish I had a phone like that. I would be one lucky guy. It seems like that phone has everything.

What is the most expensive phone?

         According to wordpress.com, Guinness World Records certifies this GoldVish phone as the most expensive in the world–1 million euros, or about $1.45 million. The odd-shaped device is made out of 18-carat white gold and features 1,800 diamonds totaling 120 carats. A Russian businessman bought Le Million for his wife last September at luxury goods fair in Cannes, France. DonÕt have a spare million for this made-by-request gadget? Geneva-based GoldVish has plenty of expensive phones in its lineup, including models with gold plating and diamond-studded cases. This is one expensive phone. It isnÕt my type of phone though.

What did the first cell phone look like?

According to inventors.about.com, following the April 3, 1973, public demonstration, using a "brick"-like 30-ounce phone, Cooper started the 10-year process of bringing the portable cell phone to market. Motorola introduced the 16-ounce "DynaTAC" phone into commercial service in 1983, with each phone costing the consumer $3,500. It took seven additional years before there were a million subscribers in the United States. Today, there are more cellular subscribers than wire line phone subscribers in the world, with mobile phones weighing as little as 3 ounces. So we can all say that the first cell phone looked sort of like a brick.

When was the cell phone invented?

According to cellphones.org, Dr. Martin Cooper is considered the inventor of the first portable handset in 1973. Dr. Cooper was a former general manager for the systems division at Motorola, and the first person to make a call on a portable cellular phone. Dr. Cooper made the first cell phone call on a street corner in New York using a base station at the top of a tall building in the city.

Who invented the cell phone?

According to About.com, Martin Cooper pioneered MotorolaÕs research for cellular phones. He was raised in Chicago, and attended the Institute of Technology in Illinois where he obtained a degree in electrical engineering. After working for the navy he also worked for a telecommunications company, and got a job with Motorola in 1954. Cooper worked on the first portable handheld police radio. He was also the first to ever make a phone call using a cellular phone.

According to thinkquest.org, some of the other people that aided in the invention of cell phones include Richard W. Dronsuth, Albert J. Mikulski, Charles N. Lynk Jr., James J. Mikulski, John F. Mitchell, Roy A. Richardson, and John H. Sangster.

According to deadzones.com, dead zones are areas where the cell phone will shut down. When you get out of the dead zone, your phone will turn on again. But until you get out of that area, your phone will stop working.
