The coolest police robot report ever

By The Leaping Purple Frog

Intro

AAAAAAAAAAAAh!  You just got your wallet stolen, but I bet police robots can help. But you have to read my report to see how a police robot can help. In my report I will tell you what the what it is or does, how it works, and some cool details. Maybe it canŐt even do any thing.  Who knows???

What It Is or Does

This paragraph is about cool stuff that police robots are doing. According to Noah Shachtman "Police Robots in Iraq have been roaming the streets ever sense the war started. For the first time ever robots are helping in a war. They carry machine guns and swords. They haven't needed to use their weapons yet,Ó said Michael Zecca. By the way if you see a police robot roaming your street call 911 it is lost and it is going haywire.

How it Works

This paragraph is about how hard it is the design a police robot.  According to Jonathan Strickland ŇThe Russian police have not released much about their robot that roams the streets. There first try was so in embarrassing after a few hours hitting the street the R Bot 001 encountered some stormy weather. Unfortunately it was raining.  Some people probably say it. The first try was when it was raining in the street and it was not waterproof so they had to go out and get it. What happened inside the robot and it shorting out its electrical system and the officers had to retrieve the R Bot 001 and tack it back and for repairs.Ó So besides not being waterproof it does not really work does it.

I wonder if it can talk? Lets find out. This robot has a button that can call police in a time of need and it also can tell drink people to go home and stop drinking. I guess it can talk, but I wonder if it is like in the movies.

Detail

Can police robots get stolen stuff back? Maybe.

According to Erin Richardson ŇA police robot used explosives to smoke out people that stole a car. The police had the robot put a small explosive in the car. Then after the explosion the police robot went back and examined any thing that didn't blow up.  I glad I wasnŐt there.

Is it waterproof? Lets see.

According to Jonathan Strickland "This robot is Russian and it was a very cool robot, until it hit some wetness. It had a button that let people push it and it would call police and send police to that place." So apparently not. Right?!

I wonder what the future police robot will look like. Lets see. According to Jonathan Strickland ŇThis robot is a combination of an armed guard, police officer and doesnŐt need a car to walk itself to the location of need. The look a like spider shape was made so because of the difficult terrain that the robot can encounter. His six mechanical legs will make it possible to walk with speed and chase the villains on different types of terrain. It also has strong armor and an arsenal that would make even John Wayne look like a crying kid. The hydraulic system makes possible for it to adjust his height.Ó Cool right!!!

How Police Robots Work

January 7, 2011

It's the summer of 2007 in Perm, Russia, and a new police officer has joined the force. The new cop gets a lot of attention. Not exactly svelte, the officer tips the scales at 550 pounds. This cop doesn't walk the beat either -- it rolls along the street on wheels. It's called R Bot 001, and it's the squad's first robot police officer.
